Adept:us is seeking a Manufacturing Manager on behalf of our Bath-based client, a well-established manufacturing company and market leader in their field.

The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for the efficient running of the Machine Shop in line with customer requirements. The Manufacturing Manager motivates and supports the Machine Shop Team daily, applying a team approach and maintaining open communication. The Manufacturing Manager ensures overall customer satisfaction, quality levels in line with AS9100, product traceability at all stages of the production process and delivers product to meet OTD targets.

Reporting to the Operations Director, the Manufacturing Manager is responsible for 5 direct and 30+ indirect reports.

The post holder is required to have the following knowledge and experience:

The ability to obtain UK Security Clearance.
An experience based understanding of CNC machining and processes.
At least 5 years’ experience in supervisory roles within diverse and modern manufacturing environments.
Experience in production scheduling and material planning using MRP / ERP tools.
Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate staff and maintain performance in a dynamic environment.
Adaptable and proactive, with strong time management and the ability to work effectively across office and shop floor in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Proven experience managing certified Quality and Health & Safety standards within a manufacturing environment.
Experience and knowledge of CI tools, Lean, Six Sigma ideally trained to Yellow Belt status or above.
Degree in business, supply chain, logistics, operations, engineering or related field OR equivalent combination of qualifications and experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
